DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE

Once a student asked the famous philosopher Socrates, what is the secret of success? You are such a great teacher, you can easily answer this question. Socrates smiled and asked the student to meet him on the bank of the river in the morning.

In the morning, they met. The student was eager, expecting a grand answer. Socrates simply asked him to follow into the river. Though fearful, the student obeyed.

As they reached deeper water, Socrates suddenly pushed the student’s head underwater. The student struggled, trying to get out, desperate for air.

When he was gasping and almost fainting, Socrates pulled him out. Gasping, the student was shocked. Then Socrates asked, "What did you need the most while under water?"

The student replied, “Air! I couldn't think of anything else.”

Socrates smiled and said, "The day you want success as badly as you wanted air, you will have it. That is the secret of success."
